One of my best memories as a kid. I loved bundling up in warm clothes and walking up and down the rows, searching for the roundest, cleanest pumpkin with the perfect stem. After I finally found it, we’d go to the farm owner’s cute little shop for a cup of fresh pressed apple cider and laugh at all the ugly little gourds (like these).
I still try to go every year. I’m not a kid anymore, but it’s still such a great memory for me. It’s not hard to do. Just take a few hours on a cool fall morning to drive to a local pumpkin patch.
